Primary Care Plus
Primary Care – Built on a Foundation of Functional Medicine
My main goal in creating our Primary Care Plus program is to have a small group of patients I work closely with that are dedicated to prioritizing health in their life. I believe a close physician-patient relationship creates a foundation that your health can be built upon.
By bringing my Functional Medicine training to Primary Care, I am able to address chronic underlying health issues in innovative ways to create results. I strive to use nutrition and lifestyle tools and the most advanced testing available to help my patients meet their health goals.
Our Primary Care Plus program offers everything traditional primary care does – and so much more…

“When I found Omnia Health, I knew I was home!”

RELATIONSHIPS – This relationship is the foundation of our care. We will always listen first, treat you with respect and work hard for you. We have an amazing team of health coaches, mid-level providers and support staff ready to be your health team. Initial appointments are 90 minutes with one-hour follow up appointments every 6-8 weeks in the first year.
ADVOCATE – We advocate for our patients in today’s complex and broken healthcare system. Dealing with specialists, pharmacists and insurance companies is hard; and the Omnia Health team is here to help! Our team works with you to make sure you are getting the best care available, communicating with specialists and guiding your team of physicians and healthcare providers.
UNDERSTANDING – We continually seek to understand your health goals and concerns. If you want to have an abundant life full of vitality, adventures, productivity and passion then your health needs to be performing on that same level as well.
FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE – We use the best testing available to understand your current cardiovascular and metabolic health, your nutrient status, gut health, hormones and signs of poor mitochondrial function. By understanding your health at this deeper level, we can create a personalized health plan just for you.
PREVENTATIVE CARE – There are three main areas where prevention is critical – cancer, cognitive decline (including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc.) and cardiovascular disease. These three disease processes are all influenced by our genetics, family history, lifestyle and exposures.
For example, poor metabolic health is a huge driver of all of these diseases. Waiting until you officially have abnormal glucose levels or Type 2 Diabetes is not acceptable; there are years of opportunity to intervene before T2DM is diagnosed. If we know this is going on it can be addressed. Using oral glucose tolerance testing and continuous glucose monitoring is really helpful in these situations.
“Cognitive decline is not an inevitable part of aging. We understand your personal risk of cognitive issues and discuss the proven strategies that can prevent or delay its onset.”
Cancer prevention is key to a long healthy life. Understanding the best screenings and tests for you (not for the masses, but for you) is what we will do.
LONGEVITY MEDICINE – There is cutting edge information on how to live well into our 90s and perhaps beyond! I pay attention to the newest studies and the latest technologies to create a personal strategy that will help ensure your healthspan is the same as your lifespan.
MOTIVATION AND INSPIRATION – That’s what we call: Health Coaching. We’ll conduct an in-depth lifestyle evaluation and a review of your goals with our experienced health and brain coaches throughout the year. Six hours of health coaching per year is included in the Primary Care Plus program.
ANNUAL PHYSICALS – Annual physicals are part of our prevention and awareness strategy. This includes a comprehensive exam with baseline EKG if needed, spirometry and body composition analysis and analysis of cancer screening recommendations.
THINGS HAPPEN – Acute care visits are available as needed. Those bumps, bruises, aches and pains, sniffles and sore throats that show up in everyday life are covered as well.
