Life-Changing 12-Week Thyroid Program

By Gia McCloskey-Jurevich, NP

We want to introduce you to our Life-Changing 12-Week Thyroid Program but first, a little background. So, you have Hypothyroidism and you are on thyroid replacement medications, However, you are tired, sluggish, and are gaining weight for no reason.

Ughh! Maybe your hair is thinning, your joints hurt, your hormones feel out of whack, and your brain is Just. Not. Working!  Your get-up-and-go has got up and left.

You’ll see all the details of our full Life-Changing 12-Week Thyroid Program below but first, consider this…

You go see your doctor and tell her that something is wrong with you!  She runs some tests and tells you that all of your results are completely “normal.”  She thinks you might be depressed and recommends an antidepressant.  Or she says. “You ARE getting older, you know.” You bite your tongue.

“You ARE getting older, you know.”

“There are so many reasons to explain these symptoms”, she says. “You’re a working parent, homeschooling your kids during a pandemic.  Your spouse just lost their job, your in-laws are moving in, your teenager is, well, being a teenager.”  It is “normal” to feel this way under these circumstances, right?

  • Do you have Hypothyroidism?
  • Are taking thyroid hormone replacement medications but still feel crummy?
  • Do you feel like your doctor is not listening to you?
  • Do you wonder what else could be going on besides just your thyroid?
  • Have you heard that there are more advanced tests to do besides just a TSH, but your doctor won’t do them?
  • Have you heard of Hashimoto’s, but you don’t know what it is or if you have it?

I talk to patients every day who call with these complaints.  I WAS this patient at one point!  That is why it is so important for me that I share this information with you.  I want you to get the answers you deserve and to address your symptoms by getting the root of the problem.

Here’s our program… If you’re ready to get started, review these details and give us a call with your questions!

Here’s the bottom line on our Life-Changing 12-Week Thyroid Program

There are three significant investments you will need to make if you desire to change the health condition you’ve been facing.

First – financial. We don’t take insurance and we recognize the challenge this may create. We also understand the frustration you may have when a thyroid condition may be impacting your lifestyle for years to come. This investment is in your long-term wellbeing.

Second – your level of commitment. We understand why new patients may have concerns about feeling restricted by a cleansing diet or following a specific nutritional strategy to eliminate possible triggers to your condition.

Yet, the many patients we’ve helped over the years will tell you, quite enthusiastically, that making some lifestyle changes including exercise and diet has been some of the best “medicine” they’ve ever had. Making a commitment and sticking to the plan is to your advantage.

Third – your time. You didn’t get here overnight and your conditions will likely not disappear overnight. Healing will require patience and commitment on your part. Most of our patients begin feeling better in a relatively short amount of time but everyone is different.

We encourage you to be patient, stay committed, and focus on what it feels like to live a life with fewer or none of the symptoms you now face on a daily basis. That’s why we’ve made this program 12 weeks.

Of course, in medicine there are no absolute cures or guarantees at all but you deserve to feel better and the team at Omnia Health will be with you every step of the way!

There are many problems with the way traditional medicine addresses hypothyroidism.

First the TSH level.  In traditional medicine the range is 0.5 to 4.5.  In functional medicine, we strive for optimal levels, not so-called normal levels. Our recommended range is 0.5 to 2.0.  So you could be in the “normal” lab range and are actually still hypothyroid – which is why you are experiencing symptoms.

Next, most traditional doctors don’t check complete thyroid labs including, T3, T4, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies but we do.

Forgive me while I get a little extra clinical here but this is extremely important! TSH only tells a very small part of the story.  It is the brain’s message to the thyroid that it needs to make more thyroid hormone and is mostly based on T4 levels.  However, T3 is a much more active form of thyroid hormone.  T4 needs to be converted to T3.  There are many factors that can inhibit this process.

So, it is possible. In fact, I see frequently, that a person will have a normal, even optimal TSH level, and an optimal T4 level but have a low T3 level.

What about antibodies?  The presence of thyroid antibodies means that a person has Hashimoto’s or auto-immune thyroiditis. Actually, this may shock many of you but 90-95% of Hypothyroid cases in the US are Hashimoto’s.  These antibodies can be present for many years before we see abnormal TSH results.

However, the presence of antibodies, alone, even with a normal TSH, T3, and T4 levels can cause symptoms of hypothyroidism.  Antibodies are not routinely checked in traditional medicine because it doesn’t change the treatment plan.

“The minute differences we see in the labs are critical to formulating a strategy for addressing your symptoms!”

This detail should not be ignored! If a person has antibodies, it means they have an autoimmune disease, and that is a big deal! With a functional medicine approach, we dig much deeper than traditional medicine. The minute differences we see in the labs are critical to formulating a strategy for addressing your symptoms!

Having one autoimmune disease can put you at higher risk for developing another such as Celiac, Rheumatoid arthritis, or Lupus, to name a few.  It also tells us that the immune system has malfunctioned.

Rather than protecting us from harm, it is mistakenly attacking the body.  There are many reasons this can occur including food sensitivities, chronic infections, toxic exposure, and gut dysbiosis that can lead to intestinal permeability or leaky gut.

As you can see, addressing Hypothyroid symptoms is much more complex than simply taking thyroid medication.  With our comprehensive Thyroid program, you get the attention you deserve.

Over the 12-week period of our Thyroid Program, we listen, we talk, we test, we adjust. Functional Medicine is about getting to the root cause and that’s why we want to take the time to discover the core issues impacting your health!

Together we go through your possible triggers.  Triggers are different for everyone.  We educate you on the best nutrition plan for YOU!  We address exercise, sleep, and stress management.

We do comprehensive lab testing and determine if further testing is needed to address your symptoms. We use our arsenal of tools including supplements and medications to help you find the solutions your body is craving.

  • Are you ready to start feeling better?
  • Are you ready to change your lifestyle?
  • Are you ready to make yourself a priority?

We believe YOU are worth taking the time to address your health issues so you can be the best possible magnificent, vibrant, joyful version of you!
